FAQS
01. How to use
Our baths can be set anywhere from 0.5-16°c, the choice is entirely yours. If placed outdoors, direct sunlight exposure will affect cooling performance
Our models are designed to be plug-and-play. Therefore, no installation is required. So, you receive your Renesis Ice bath, plug it in, fill your bath, and then set your temperature. Once the water has reached the temperature you desire, plunge away. We will send you a user manual and video instructions upon purchase.
Frequency of changing water depends on the frequency of usage and user hygiene. Assuming daily usage, by 1-person, the water can be changed every 4 weeks. If used commercially (more than 5 people daily) the water can be changed weekly.
Attach your hosepipe to the hose connector on the base of the bath and open the valve to drain the water. Please ensure your bath is turned off when draining the water to prevent a dry run with the pump.
It is recommended to change out your filter every 12 weeks, based on daily use by a single person.
Regarding the cladding we suggest that all wood surfaces are wiped clean regularly. This helps to retain the lustre and more importantly helps stop water ingress.
Do not add any harsh chemicals such as chlorine or bromine (this will void you warranty).
Your Renesis Ice Bath can be placed indoors or outdoors. If you’ve placed it outdoors, we suggest it should be under cover. Any direct sunlight exposure will affect cooling performance.
This depends on several factors such as the temperature selected and the outdoor/indoor temperature. The water cools at around 1°c per hour. Once the temperature set point has been reached, the system will automatically retain its set temperature within a range of 1°c.
Yes, leave the baths switched on for optimal performance. Once the water reaches the selected temperature, the system will switch off and the built-in insulation will maintain the temperature. The bath will run for approx. 20% of the day to maintain the temperature set point and therefore it is not running 24/7.
If you’re not in good health or have any underlying health conditions, especially heart or cardiovascular related, we’d suggest contacting your doctor first.
Cold exposure creates stress on the body. When you immerse yourself in cold water, your body experiences a cold shock response. This is characterized by a sudden gasp, followed by rapid breathing, and increased heart rate and blood pressure. We’d also suggest cold adapting slowly no matter how fit you are if this is new to you. Always listen to your body’s cues.
